Problems with 0.11 - windows
by Andrew Diederich 19 Dec '06

19 Dec '06

Hello gajim-devel, I just tried out 0.11, but ran into some errors. I could connect up to jabber.com (XCP), jabber.org (ejabberd), and a wildfire server, but couldn't receive my vcard profile, and I don't think I could send chats, either. I did receive my roster and a presence subscription. When I closed out gajim it crashed, and here are the events from the gajim.exe.log file: TypeError: isinstance() arg 2 must be a class, type, or tuple of classes and types Traceback (most recent call last): File "common\xmpp\idlequeue.pyc", line 133, in process_events File "common\xmpp\transports_nb.pyc", line 143, in pollin File "common\xmpp\transports_nb.pyc", line 245, in _do_receive File "common\xmpp\dispatcher_nb.pyc", line 347, in dispatch File "common\connection_handlers.pyc", line 1336, in _messageCB File "common\connection.pyc", line 98, in dispatch File "common\connection.pyc", line 94, in put_event File "gajim.py", line 548, in handle_event_msg TypeError: isinstance() arg 2 must be a class, type, or tuple of classes and types Traceback (most recent call last): File "gajim.py", line 1902, in process_connections File "common\xmpp\idlequeue.pyc", line 209, in process File "common\xmpp\transports_nb.pyc", line 153, in pollin File "common\xmpp\transports_nb.pyc", line 255, in _do_receive File "common\xmpp\dispatcher_nb.pyc", line 353, in dispatch File "common\connection_handlers.pyc", line 1465, in _messageCB File "common\connection.pyc", line 104, in dispatch File "common\connection.pyc", line 100, in put_event File "gajim.py", line 654, in handle_event_msg TypeError: isinstance() arg 2 must be a class, type, or tuple of classes and types It's a windows xp sp2 box, IE6. I installed with the gtk+ bundle. If you need any other info from me, just let me know and I'll grab it. -- Best regards, Andrew

0.11 release
by Yann LE BOULANGER 12 Dec '06

12 Dec '06

Hi all, we plan to release gajim 0.11 soon (probably this week end or beginning of next week). So we'd like to know the state of the translation you maintain. If it's not totally finished for release, it would be great to have at least the part you did. So please tell us if it's nearly finished, not started, if you plan to have time to finish it or not, if you think you won't have time to start it. Thanks a lot for your very good work ! -- Gajim Team
