For some reason in windows the glade strings (if I remember correctly) does
not get translated if we put the translation in only nb. This has been
investigated and we have reported a bug (we being me and nkour) but this has
not been solved as of yet.
When it comes to mixing Nynorsk and Bokmal I have not done so. The
translation is Bokmal and this is the most commonly used 'language' in
Norway. If we put the translation into nn then we would be off, because this
is reserved for Nynorsk. Putting the bokmal under no is no problem, this is
just a common name for 'Norwegian', and is per default in 97% of cases
Bokmal.
Check also you firefox language settings, the same thing there. No =
norwegian, nb = nor. bokmal and nn = nor. nynorsk. Also I know many use
no_NO = norwegian, no_NB = nor. bokmal and no_NN = nor. nynorsk.
Hope this explains it. Nothing is mixed, no angry users, just some errors in
windows that can be circumvented by this easy fix so the windows users does
not get a 50% translation application.
Why they are removing this from gnome modules is probably because gtk
handles is correctly, but glade not (correct me if I am wrong here, this is
not my area!).
