The problem is we are both blind and have used orca (screenreader).
Gajim sets the mic level allways to 0 and doesn't save the previous
level.
gajim->gajim the same.
It's not only related to empathy.

The problems were two things:
1. mic 
2. stunserver.org doesn't work (tested again.).
